Eurovision 2015 – Europe's best voices together with Pfleiderer!

13 sierpnia 2015

More than 6 million viewers watched this year’s grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Poland's representative Monika Kuszyńska competed with the other participants from 26 European countries. The solid base consisting of a stage as well as backstage facilities made of Duropal was provided by Pfleiderer, the leading manufacturer of wood-based materials in Poland.

The artists participating in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest performed on a stage made of Duropal laminated boards. The interior design prepared by Florian Wieder, who architecturally moved the television event watched by over 200 million people to the stage, was supported by Al Gurdon, famous for spectacular lighting projects.
A floor resistant to scratching: a flash for high heels
In the 60th edition of the contest, the designers outdid themselves. The stage was a gigantic work of art combining the elements of light, form and colour. 1288 led lights created a huge eye at the centre of which artists representing forty nationalities gave their performances. Spectacular lighting effects played the central role in this event.
Deciding to use a floor made of Duropal HPL laminated boards in the colour of high-gloss volcano black, Wieder made the best choice. The material reflected the lighting effects on the stage, thus pulling the audience into interaction with the artists. While other high-gloss varnished materials are subject to slight scratches, Pfleiderer offers the exceptionally resistant topX surface.
A wide range of HPL laminates is available in Poland through the Pfleiderer Partners chain at The most popular of them are available on an ongoing basis from our warehouse stocks. It is also possible to order decors offered on the German market.
